Q: Do you offer a stipend for the selected participants?Ī: Actors invited to participate in the LA auditions would be paid a stipend for the week of the Warner Bros. Discovery’s talent and casting teams and to provide a week-long intensive that will help development of their acting careers. Q: What happens after the LA auditions? What’s the goal of this program?Ī: The goal of the program to introduce participants to Warner Bros. Discovery Access Talent Spotlight will only accept submissions of candidates who are 18 years and older as of March 1, 2022. Discovery will accommodate any needs of actors with disabilities. Q: If invited to the LA audition, what costs are covered?Ī: If you live outside of the Los Angeles County area, basic travel and accommodations will be covered. Q: What level of experience are you looking for?Ī: Everyone is welcome to submit, no matter your level of experience. ABOUT THIS AUDITION: Actors will prepare a one-minute, self-taped monologue to be submitted through Eco Cast. Discovery executives from different networks to get feedback and further mentoring. The cast will potentially have an opportunity to meet with Warner Bros. Discovery executives in the audience, and final presentations will be taped and shared with top industry casting directors and producers. Live “call backs” sessions will take place with Warner Bros. They will have professional headshots taken and be coached by trusted acting coaches to prepare scenes for their presentations. The program, which will be approximately a weeklong, will take place in Los Angeles (in person) from April 3-9, 2022, with a cohort of up to 20 selected participants who will attend intensive workshops, training sessions, panels, and presentations. Selected participants will complete the program with training from notable acting coaches and will be given the opportunity to present to Warner Bros. The WBD Access Talent Spotlight was created to provide undiscovered and underrepresented actors, particularly focused on people with disabilities, Indigenous, MENA, and Trans communities, an opportunity to receive coaching and exposure. ![]()
